Two night white-wine lovers bed and breakfast package

The kit has little scent bottles to learn how to pick up on all the subtleties in the wine aroma and retails at over $50. "On my own" special
Want to get away on your own, leaving all stresses behind? Come to Almond Hill for a refreshing two night special. Stay in bed as long as you like, reading, listening to music...
I will cook a three course dinner for you on one night. Price also includes a good bottle of local Barossa wine, breakfast provisions, homemade treats and some almonds.
Package price is $300.00 for 1 person, weekend, and $280 for 1 person midweek.

Packages not available long weekends.

TANUNDA PINES PLAY AND STAY PACKAGE

Play golf at Tanunda Pines Golf Club and stay at Almond Hill B&B. Included in the package is greenfees for two, two nights stay with breakfast, bottle of wine, port, homemade treats and use of my clubs (which are serviceable but may not be as good as your own, so if you prefer to bring yours, do so).
Package price is $320.00 for 2 persons/2 nights midweek, and $340 for 2persons/2nights weekend.

Delicious provisions for breakfast are provided. Bacon, free-range eggs, mushrooms, home-made bread, freshly squeezed juice, yoghurt, fruits, cheese, jams and marmelade, muesli, cereal etc should be enough to set you right until dinner at least. You can choose to eat at the antique carpenter's bench (made by an early Barossa craftsman) on your verandah overlooking Angaston or inside, overlooking the vegetable garden. If you are lucky, there will be raspberries to be picked. There is also a gazebo for those perfect weather days.

Suite is serviced daily. Bathrobes, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, wool underlay, down pillows, quilt and electric blankets are provided. The comfortable veranda with fairylights and candles has a truly magnificent view, and is the perfect setting for breakfast or dinner. The ancient almond grove just below swarms with white cockatoos or pink galahs in season, adding extra appeal. We also see owls and wedgetailed eagles on occasion. Being glazed and heated, you can use the verandah all year round.
If you like, you can feed the donkeys which live in quiet retirement in the paddocks. On occasion, a wild kangaroo or two have stopped by for a graze, as well as daily sightings of rabbits. This is Australia after all.

We are close to many attractions, such as bushwalking, golf, wine tasting, fine dining, etc. I hope you have a lovely time here in gorgeous Barossa!

The restaurants in Angaston are all within minutes by car from Almond Hill B&B, or 10-15 minutes walk. There are many excellent choices, and they cater for most price ranges. I can make a reservation for you beforehand, if you like. As is common in Australia, you can BYO (bring your own) which means you bring your own bottle of wine instead of purchasing it from the restaurant. A lovely system, especially in a wine region like Barossa Valley where you may want to drink what you tried and bought earlier in the day.
If you are staying long enough to consider taking daytrips, there are more wineries in the Clare Valley one hour north, or historic Kapunda or Burra, both full of interesting history. There is something for everyone...
